Nate coordinates the Lake County Invasives Team which partners with federal, state, and county agencies as well as local organizations such as AKRW. He also provides technical guidance and assistance to private landowners for invasive species and forestry related issues.

In this workshop Nate will discuss how to properly identify and manage some important wood invasive species including:
Common buckthorn
Glossy buckthorn
Japanese Barberry
Exotic Honeysuckle
Potential programs for assistance with management of invasive species will be discussed. He will also go over how to get started with EDDMapS explaining how to report invasive species populations when you find them, and see where they’ve been documented elsewhere.
